Hello, I have a problem with mysql I was using php 3.0.16 with no problems, then I wanted to upgrade to php 4.0.1pl2 so I downloaded all src packages for apache, mysql and php, I executed the compilation and installation procedure with out any problem using Linux Kernel 2.2.15 from a Mandrake 7.1 distribution. After the installation was completed I tested it with the phpinfo() everything seemed to be ok, so I tested database access using phpMyAdmin 2.1.0, I get the listing of available databases but can not read the fields or any data beyond that point (no select was executed). Then I try to use a simple script to connect I get a connection but no data back, I have search the mailing list archives, and read faqs, comments and found nothing like this, the issue is that the binary for the same version of php 4.0.1pl2 for windows does access mysql without any problems so I am quite lost the configuration string used was: ./configure --with-mysql=/opt/mysql --with-apxs=/opt/apache/bin/apxs -enable -track-vars So please if some else has experience this kind of problems or knows has any idea to try to solve this would you share it with me? Thanks a lot in advance, any help would be much appreciated. Sam
