Hi,
How can I compile the Oracle functions into PHP when I don't have the client libraries?
Where do I get them?
I have only heard through others that the on;y way I can get these libraries is to
1. Download the entire Oracle Server for Linux.
2. Install X windows ( I don't want X on my webserver)
3. Install Oracle ( I am using another Unix(not linux) machine for the Oracle Server.
4. Now I can compile Oracle into PHP.
Seems like too much of a hassle for just a few client libraries.
Is there a better way?
Does someone have the client libraries for Linux so I can compile PHP?
Also I need to do the same for MSSQL.
Is it possible to compile MSSQL support into the Linux/Apache Module for PHP?
I'd prefer not to use ODBC, but if I must what client libs do I need?
Thanks to anyone who can help.
