I have been having difficulty using mcrypt when building PHP3 as a module
under Solaris. I receive the following error when running a configuration
test for Apache:
diablo# ./apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 208 of /opt/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /opt/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: ld.so.1:
/opt/apache/bin/httpd: fatal: relocation error: file
/usr/local/lib/libmcrypt-2.2.so.2: symbol __eprintf: referenced symbol not
found
The same error is given if I attempt to start Apache with this
configuration. I have build a non-module version of PHP with mcrypt
support and have not had a problem. I have also built PHP as a module with
mcrypt on a RedHat Linux 5.2 system without any problem. This tells me it
is related to Solaris.
My environment is:
Solaris 7 or 8
Apache 1.3.12
PHP 3.0.16 or 4.0.1 PL 2
gcc 2.95.2
libmcrypt 2.4.2 (I think the problem exists with 2.2.7 as well)
mcrypt 2.2.5
I have also loaded mhash 0.8.1 which works fine. Apache is compiled with
module support.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks...Josh
