PHP port number

I have scripts running on an OS X system that is behind a firewall. I have troubles running PHP pages when I am outside the firewall, and have noticed that PHP seems to be running on port 16080. I just assumed that it ran on port 80. Where can I change this, or is there a reason that PHP runs on a different port number?
