Hi all,
I just was wondering what is everyone of you thinking about using single
quotes
in most of the strings.
I know well the difference between Single and Double quotes, but why when
people
write even a simple string they usually use Double Quotes?
for example:
echo 'whatever I would write here';
is actually better then
echo "whatever I would write here";
because PHP didn't parse the string for variables&func(), but what about:
echo 'I am an '.$country.' dude named '.$name;
vs.
echo "I am an $country dude named $name";
What is faster? Single not-parsed string with escapes from it or entire
double string with variables to catch?
Also
$myVar = 'The value is here';
is less used then
$myVar = "The value is here";
I read LOTS of tutorials on this, but you GURUs, what would you use?
Cheers!
