Hallo Ben,
I have tested this:
<?php
$string = "Das ist ein \n text.";
echo "<textarea cols='20'
rows='5'>$string</textarea>";
?>
it formats correctly under mozilla and IE; then I thought it might be the
passing around of variables that removes the formatting:
<form method="get" action="test1.php">
<textarea name="text"></textarea>
<input type="submit" />
</form>
<?php
import_request_variables('gp', '');
echo "<textarea>$text</textarea>";
?>
But I get the exact same results, I do not know what the problem might be,
or perhaps I do not understand your question.
