% Hello list!
Hi!
%
% I have two questions where I need a slightly hint which way to go.
%
% 1:
% - - I have an html input form. with a comment field (textfield)
% - - I write the comment string into the mysql db
% - - I grab the comment string and print in a <textarea> but its one
% whole line then! :(
I think you'll need to check out using addslashes() to protect any
included \n chars in your input or they'll be stripped when they go into
the db. Check the value that you put in versus the value that you get
out.
You might also play with the wordwrap() function, sizing your output to
match your text box.
%
% 2:
% What are the best ways(functions) to create grafical statistics out of
% Table values?
What sort of graphs do you want to see? I saw some posts go by about JP
Graph or JD Graph; check the list archives. Of course, you could also
roll your own with gnuplot. I don't think that PHP has anything built in
(unless J?Graph is an add-on).
%
% I highly appreciate any feedback!
%
% enjoy your day
You, too :-)
