I think he was asking how to transform the word doc to html using php.
Not that he was using Word to create the page.
I found this when looking for the same thing the other day for our
intranet site(havent used it yet so no idea how it works)

Use Macromedia Fireworks. There is an option to delete non-standars for
html. When word translate the doc into html, it adds certain 'stuff'
that are only understand for microsucks products.
Never trust microsucks products for all your stuff. And the next time
try to build your page with an html editor.

Subject: [PHP] using COM (or other) to read Word file
Hello all.
I'm writing a form for a user to upload a Word doc, and I'd like to
convert the doc to HTML format. I've figured out how to do this from
the php.net man pages, but it looks like this will ONLY work if the
server is a Win platform. Is my assumption correct? (The server I have
to use is a Solaris platform running the latest and greatest version of
PHP).
If this is correct, does anybody know of any other relatively painless
way to get Word docs converted to HTML?
Thanks.
