the directory "test" is in the same place this command "$ ls -lad" was executed. now I have executed the command from the test directory drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody 4294967295 4096 May 2 17:24 . and this is the output. Earlier I had executed the command in the directory above the test dir. does the number suggest something? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jason Wong" <php-general@gremlins.biz> To: <php-general@lists.php.net> Sent: Friday, May 02, 2003 5:28 PM Subject: Re: [PHP] Mkdir Question On Friday 02 May 2003 19:36, Harish wrote: > $ ls -lad I am assuming that you executed the above whilst you're inside the directory that was created? > drwxrwxr-x 3 nobody nobody 24576 May 2 16:15 . In which case the output suggests that the owner and group of the created directory are both 'nobody' which looks OK to me. So what did you do to get this output? And how is this directory 'test' related to the output above? To me it doesn't look as if they refer to the same directory. > This is the folder I created from PHP > > drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody 4294967295 4096 May 2 16:18 test > > here the "group" is some number, -- Jason Wong -> Gremlins Associates -> www.gremlins.biz Open Source Software Systems Integrators * Web Design & Hosting * Internet & Intranet Applications Development * ------------------------------------------ Search the list archives before you post http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=php-general ------------------------------------------ /* Q: What do you say to a Puerto Rican in a three-piece suit?
