ok,
but I don't know how to use flash to do this,
and in this way I don't know how to create the graph.
The connection is intranet (via LAN):
this application will be used to monitor in real time the
state of the sensors.
somethig like an heart rate graph.

I think this could be done with a few tools. You could build a flash app that can tunnel to the server without refreshing the page. flash would get the new data then have draw a new graph using javascript to write/alter an SVG graph This might work for you The persons that will be viewing this page, how are they going to connect to the server, via a modem or highspeed connection? if it is a modem connection, you can forget REAL-TIME refreshing altogether. it would take longer then 1 sec to send the request / process the request / receive processed data and then change the graph. But what I described above will get you going down the right road IMHO. Is there something like opening a connection with the server without closing it, and update the image continuously? but without flickering problems... I'd like to generate a graph (I'm using the jpgraph) from that dataanddisplay it in real time. The question is: how can I show data while they're changing ? I've tried to reload the browser each seconds, but it's not so elegant (I don't want to reload the entire page) and I need to display datamorefrequently. Some ideas?
