The direct conversion would be:
From:
DAOFactory udFactory = DAOFactory.getDAOFactory();
To:
$udFactory = DAOFactory::getDAOFactory();

I didn't get a response either here or on comp.lang.php. Can someone
point me to a better place to ask? Is there a php-dev list rather than
php-general that might be more appropriate to discuss experimental
extensions? Failing that, can I find out who leads the Java extension
development and bug him directly?
