Creating symlink from browser

Hi guys, I have this server with PHP is installed as an apache module on a linux box and I want to create a symlink from browser. 1. When running the PHP script from shell (using #!/usr/local/bin/php) everything works fine. but 2. I copied the file into cgi-bin directory and called it from browser and it did not worked. The log file said something like "glob failed ...<_GEN_0> chunk1" 3. tried exec(), symlink() but no luck Any ideas about how can I do this are appreciated. many thanks, Radu
