Check the file permissions, if you are running it from your shell the PHP script is running as the user you are logged in as. When you are running it from the web the script is running as the user the web server is running as.

Hi guys, I have this server with PHP is installed as an apache module on a linux box and I want to create a symlink from browser. 1. When running the PHP script from shell (using #!/usr/local/bin/php) everything works fine. but 2. I copied the file into cgi-bin directory and called it from browser and it did not worked. The log file said something like "glob failed ...<_GEN_0> chunk1" 3. tried exec(), symlink() but no luck Any ideas about how can I do this are appreciated. many thanks, Radu
