mail() not working with PHP4.3.1 and RH8

Anybody have any issues with mail and RedHat 8? I've got two boxes with
identical installs (apache2, PHP4.3.1, RH8, default configure/build options
for PHP, with apxs2). In both boxes, sendmail is fine: I can mail to an
external account. But, the code below only works on one box, not the other.
Any thoughts? What should I be looking for?
