GIF support doesn't have anything to do with PHP, that's gd. Now, as of gd version 1.6, GIF is no longer supported, use jpeg or png instead. As for the flag, if your gd libraries are installed in the standard places (/usr/lib), then --with-gd is fine, but if you did a standard install of gd, it'll be under /usr/local/[lib|include], so that you have to tell PHP where it is with --with-gd=/usr/local AMK4 -- H | Hi, I'm currently out of my mind.
