Hello,
I am trying to configure PHP3.016 for my Stronghold 3.0 (Apache 1.3.12)
server with support for MySQL and Oracle. I am running this on a Sun
Solaris 2.6 box. MySQL and Oracle are on a separate server than the web
server. The servers are connected over a network, but the file systems
are not NFS' mounted. When I issue the configure command stated in the
website's documentation (./configure --with-mysql
--with-apache=../../stronghold3.0 --enable-track-vars).
This fails with the error message
configure: error: Invalid MySQL directory - unable to find
libmysqlclient.a or libmysqlclient.so.
I think this is due to that fact that I haven't pointed my mysql to a
directory on my server. The reason is that it is on a different
server. I want to do the same thing with Oracle, but I'm pretty sure I
will have the same problem with Oracle.
If anyone has any idea on how this can work, I would much appreciate it.
