PHP can handle that easyly. Just in your connects give the address of the
remote server.
If you have problems installing then make sure the libs are in the place you
tell PHP it is in.
Firstly you should be installing PHP Version 4.0.2 unless you have some very
good reason not too. PHP 3 is no longer supported and only major bugs are
still fixed. PHP 4 also has MySQL support built in so there is no need for
the --with-mysql, at the moment it is failing because PHP 3 needs the MySQL
header files and Libary that it cannot find on your system. Make that
avalible to PHP when your compiling and you away.
