You probably don't have permission to get to the directory the file is
in. Check perms on each directory in the path.

This should take you about 10 seconds to test and answer for
yourself. But yes, it works fine.

Uh, technically yes, it would be possible, but I would strongly advise to
reconsider how you are doing this.
