Hi,
when a function is called its data are pushed on top of a stack. "How
many..." is a matter of memory allocated and how much data the call will
push. But for traversing a tree on any disk in the world I wouldn't worry.
Usually only runaway calls eats up enough memory to give error.
I tried
<HTML>
<?
function myLittleRunaway($level) {
echo ++$level . ' - ';
myLittleRunaway($level);
}
myLittleRunaway(0);
?>
</HTML>
which stopped running after printing " - 768 -" with "Parse error: parser
stack overflow ..."
