Hello,
I've read as much as I can find on the new error reporting in PHP4, but
I'm still having trouble getting it to display errors.
Here's my php.ini file -- coming from the php.ini-dist file (it's a little
different from the default because I've been messing with it, trying to
get it to display some errors):
error_reporting = E_COMPILE_ERROR|E_ERROR|E_CORE_ERROR
(have also tried the default and E_ALL)
display_errors = On
log_errors = On
track_errors = On
My httpd.conf file has
php_value display_errors on
but nothing else related to errors.
I've tried adding error_reporting(63) and error_reporting(2039) and
error_reporting(E_ALL) to the tops of my templates, but that doesn't help
either.
In Netscape 4.5, I get a "No Data" error. In IE, I get this standard
header HTML:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"
http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
And I get that if I just create a simple parse error in an a 1000 line
script (I removed the ( from the opening part of the if() statement).
I can get the errors from the log, but I'm used to seeing them on the page
and prefer that for my dev server.
Thanks in advance,
