howdy all,
i requested the FAQ and was told it wasn't available, so i'm gonna resort
to bothering the list :-(
i've been doing web design and c programming on and off for quite a while,
so i'm only a newbie to PHP :-)
i'm trying to verify that PHP is functional on my new hosting service's
server and have been failing miserably. i've named the file .phtml but
everything i've tried has given me a:
Premature end of script headers: <path to file>
the entire file is:
<html>
<head>
<title>Doug's PHP test page</title>
</head>
<body>
<p>this might actually show up...</p>
<?php
echo "if you want to serve XML documents, do like this\n";
?>
</body>
</html>
is there something else i need to specify to invoke PHP? this example is
pretty much straight from the PHP docs on the PHP web site.
i'm wondering if perhaps no one has tested PHP on the particular server my
domain is being hosted on and have asked this of their tech support.
tips, corrections, and web liks appreciated.
thanx.
doug.
