PEAR - example of DB usage ?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has a sample code (or perhaps url) of the use of DB class in PEAR to achieve database access abstraction ? The primary use if for mysql and oracle. I've started reading the code and at least for mysql I've missed some functions (or methods) in order to mimic things like : - mysql($database,$query). I've only found a way to specify the database through the dsn - mysql_num_rows I know this may to soon but is anybody using this in a production enviroment/consider it stable enough? - Mario
