I am wondering, is there a single large e-commerce site that is built on PHP from ground up? By large I mean something that generates at least $500K/annum of revenue. I love PHP technology but I'd like to see how it scales into those dimensions. Anyone?www.more.com Check it out while it still lives (seems like ordering drugstore items online isn't something consumers are exactly calmoring for, as the general ill health of the entire online drugstore sector will attest to). But it was done from the ground up with PHP, with much of the business logic in Oracle stored procedures. There are currently seven production servers, and it is an excellent site from a technical perspective; PHP lends itself very well to large sites, with a little planning. PS - you said $500K of revenue; I'd be interested in hearing of *any* retail consumer ecom sites that make that much in profit.
