I'm on win box + apache + php 4.0.2 (server api: cgi) Seems to me that it's doing what it should, which is simply to change the value of the auto_append_file directive. Changing that value in say your php.ini file doesn't trigger a search for the file named: but if it's not there when you try and load a document that expects it, you'll sure as heck get an error message. -- David Robley | WEBMASTER & Mail List Admin RESEARCH CENTRE FOR INJURY STUDIES | http://www.nisu.flinders.edu.au/ AusEinet | http://auseinet.flinders.edu.au/ Flinders University, ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
