Are you using php 4.0.2?
I believe the second argument was added recently.

Subject: [PHP] htmlspecialchars
Hey,
I can't seem to get the htmlspecialchars() fuction to work, I am passing a
name from a form field ( Name ) that may contain special characters like the
name O'Conner etc.. I have read the manual and as far as I can tell this
should work?
$Name = htmlspecialchars($Name, ENT_QUOTES);
this is the error output:
Warning: Wrong parameter count for htmlspecialchars() in...
strange I see 2 params in the above fuction call and this fuction only takes
upto 2 params???
$Name most definatly contains a valid string hmm...
Any ideas people?
Regards,
Joseph
