Hi, I sometime have problems compiling PHP with MySQL. I get errors
relating to linking to MySQL libraries. I do not like to use the
included mysql libs as they cause frequent errors when working with
mysql (dropping connections and etc) (at least on the Solaris 7
platform). I've heard numerous complaints on this list about php
problems with solaris. I have a feeling it has something to do with
library setup and locations.
However when compiling with links to real libs, there are problems. How
do explicitly specify mysql location?
include ?
libs ?
MySQL in in /usr/local/mysql
Libs in /usr/local/mysql/libs
Inlcude /usr/local/mysql/include
I use --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
Is that right?
Is LD_LIBRARY_PATH supposed to have /usr/local/mysql/libs ??
What are the MYSQL_INCLUDE, MYSQL_LIBS, MYSQL_LFLAGS variables? I can't
find any documentation about them anywhere.
Thanks for any info.
If you have links to docs from TCX ro PHP that describe these issues,
please post them too. I am aware of the docs on --with-mysql, those do
not answer my question though.
