my 2c would be: I've been for some while on this list but hardly remember any of the author names listed above.
Julie, Tobias and Till (at least) are well-known on this list. I'd suggest, in addition to visiting the books page listed below, that you go to www.amazon.com and read the reviews of books there. Note that Amazon lists for each book authors of related books, so you can read about competing books as well.
I would go with somebody who is on this list, so you would
eventually have the
opportunity to talk with him/her directly about the book, and be sure it's from the PHP comunity (if you care about it). a good start would be http://www.php.net/books.php. Hi Paul, have a look at your German translation. That silly boys and girls at Amazon aren't able to put your book into the catalog. I mailed them several times. But it seems we need an lawyer. -Egon
Oh well. Thanks for checking on it. The publisher's page is: http://www.mut.de/shop/sh-info.asp?ID=382725793X There is also a version in French now: http://www.campuspress.fr/store/book_info.asp?ref=7&nav=&maincat=&id=882 I've heard from someone who said he had a translation into simplified Chinese as well, but I've never seen it and I don't know of a URL for it.
