Andy, I had a go at something like this for a nonleague football website ( www.marinefc.com/gallery/index.php ). Contributors to the site can upload their own images but in doing so they are prompted to upload both a small thumbnail as well as the full size image. This creates a record in a database containing an ID number for the image as well as additional information such as a caption, alternative text and who contributed the image. When visitors to the site look at the gallery of images they are presented with a listing of relevant images with the thumbnails and they can click on these to be shown the full image. There's a further example of this at another nonleague football site at www.kipax.com. I suspect there are ready made applications to do this but I wanted to have a go at creating my own. (sorry for my stupidness on images but when you cant see them it hurts)... -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
