FALSE.
session_start() does not need to be called to start the session.
(at least it works for me)...
session_register("var") does the job... Put it on every page (on the top
line, with no white space before the <? tag), and it should work if cookies
are enabled. If you're worried about those who turn off cookies, either
tell them they need cookies, or --enable-trans-id. If you're worried about
the way the URL looks, stick the whole page in a single-frame frameset, and
most people will never notice.
