Excellent point. But, you can do both, save the data in the main table as
users go along and only study the results from finshed questionaires. When
you want to study the results of the survey, design your query to only
analyze data from fully completed surveys. One way to do it is have a
boolean field in each reacord that indicates if the survey was finished or
not.
Doing it this way will give you the best efficiency and results. It even
allows you to realize how many people stop the survey in the middle and where
they most frequently stopped.
