attaching files to a form to email script

I having a difficult time being able to implement file attachments into some form handling scripts I made. I've read a few post and found so class files that are for this purpose, but as a complete PHP novice, I am at odds trying to integrate the to my existing scripts. If anyone can provide any assistance, or ideas, I would really appreciate it.
