A problem I thought was fixed (thanks to this list)
is apparently not. I have two form pages. The first
requires every but 1 field to be filled. I have RE to
make sure the fields are correct. If they are, it
goes to the next form. If not, it goes back
indicating which field(s) were incorrect. The next
form just makes two fields required and if they are
empty (they're select fields), it goes back indicating
which field(s) was empty.
So, in short I have 4 scripts. One for the first
form. That gets sent to a process_form script that
checks the fields. If they are not correct, I
include() the first form. If they are correct, I
include the second form. I put the hidden fields in
this form (second) to hold the values of the first
form. The second form gets processed by another
process_form script that does the same thing as the
first process form script. If thats successful, all
the fields go into the Mysql db.
Everything works fine, unless the user does
something wrong on the second form in which case the
hidden values get reset. The fields were set upon
entering the second form. Where can I put the hidden
fields so that they dont get reset. I placed it in
the first form and the first process_form script but
to no avail. Should I change the way its structured?
I cant use sessions or cookies.
Thanks.
