Just to clarify this answer as I realize it is rather unclear. The HTTP
status code is returned by the web server. PHP tells the web server which
status code should be returned. You are testing PHP without a web server
in your tests and as such you are not getting any status code at
all. Note that you are also not seeing a 200 which you would surely get
on a normal PHP request to a web server. That should have tipped you off.
