Jasmine claims to support such cases (namely large multimedia data).
still I would use what Luke said, which is a good FS.
If ReiserFS is known to perform better when having lots of small files
(e.g. MySQL files), maybe there should be one to perform better on large too.
Otherwise any FS is good for this job.
