Hello,
Yes, I'm very, very new to php and I tried learning javascript -- once. Programming? Me?
As far as tutorials, think like a teacher. Joe Burns over at HTML Goodies doesn't do too badly -- example, deconstruct, challenge. I thought he gave a good start in HTML and then I was ready for some of the O'Reilly books. But HTML isn't enough anymore, I guess it's time to learn a spot of programming.
If people are going to build php-related tutorials and web sites, think beginner. Very beginner. And, provide print-friendly versions because I can't learn a whole lot from copy and paste. Keep the lessons stepped too. Because once I can do a simple form and post it to a database, well, then I want to do more.
From what I have learned so far (o.k., it's been a week or two), php is extremely powerful and really not as hard to learn as I thought it would be. So, please, help me out here -- build that site and send me the url so I can start customizing forms!
Thanks,
Tamara
