I have installed PHP5 on IIS. When I try to make a connection the the MySQL database with the following code: $conn = mysql_connect("localhost", "root", "") or die("Unable to connect"); I get the following error in the browser: Undefined function my_sqlconnect(). What can be the problem? I uninstalled PHP5 and installed PHP4 and then I can make a connection without any problems... Please shed some light anyone!!
PHP5 does not install a driver for MySQL by default. You will need to enable one depending on which version of MySQL you want php_mysql.dll php_mysqli.php This was done partly to comply with changes to MySQL licence conditions, and partly because the older driver will not work correctly with newer versions of MySQL -- Lester Caine ----------------------------- L.S.Caine Electronic Services
