I love unix and command lines in general. For those who have windows,
however, this is also possible. I will use MS Outlook Express as an example.
I've got version 5.5, but earlier versions should be similar.
1. Go to tools | message rules | mail.
2. Click new.
3. There will be a rather complicated dialog that opens. You want to
specify some criteria for the special messages and what to do with them.
4. For criteria, select the one that says "to or cc line contains".
5. For the action, check "move it to specified folder"
6. Now you want to specify values for the criteria and the action. There
will be a box with the criteria and action things as selected. Click on the
underlined words.
7. For the criteria, you want to enter a text string that appears in all
list messages. A good candidate is the e-mail address
php-general@lists.php.net.
8. For the folder, choose or create one.
9. Click OK and save the rule. All new messages downloaded from the list
should go to the specified folder, segragated from your inbox.
