Nope, GD's PNG support is pretty crappy. It's basically a drop-in replacement of the gif support that was removed. This means no alpha support, and only indexed palettes. If you're running a Unix platform, php_imlib may be more helpful, it has full support of libpng, including alpha channels. See http://mmcc.cx/php_imlib/ for more information. Matt
