HI Joe,
That was miserably off topic, this is a PHP list and your question was about
ASP! :)
Anyway, might as well let you have my 0.02 because your question could be
about PHP as well. I have used UltraDev and to tell you honestly, any REAL
coder would go for a Homesite kind of a tool and write REAL code rather than
relying for some of the GENERIC functionality that UltraDev writes. You can
pretty much infinitely extend Homesite to have "snippets" of code or
customize your own toolbars, and that could serve as excellent avenues of
ready-made (click and code) programming if you really are looking for
convenience.
Anyway, like most people I guess, I use Dreamweaver (and now UltraDev) for
templating and HTML, but use Homesite for the actual coding for ASP/PHP etc.
Over a span of time, you would want most of your generic functionality such
as user registrations, database connections, session management etc all
rolled out into classes or functions and re-use as much code as possible, so
the editing tool you use wont make as much of a difference.
Just my thoughts..
Cheers
