"Resource ID#4" is an identifier being returned from PHP indicating that your query was successful. If you want to get your sum, you will need to use the mysql_fetch_array() or mysql_result functions to actually get your information returned from your query. It should be really easy but Instead of a number being returned I am getting "Resource id #4" and before that I was getting Resource id # 3. What do these errors mean and wtf am I doing wrong. Sorry if this is a way newbie question but I have been trying to get this right on my own to no avail.
