php_value name value where name is the name of the configuration directive
and value is the value to assign to that directive; if value is a string
then enclose it in quotes. So for your purposes the setting
php_value include_path "/path/inc"
should work _unless_ your ISP has disabled your access to certain functions
in .htaccess files. The apache error message may be instructive :-)
