PHP4.0.3pl1 as CGI: no POST

Hello,
I compiled php4.0.3pl1 as CGI on Linux Suse 6.4/Apache, I alreadu have
php3.15 as module.
With various compilations options, I could not succeed in having php4
working to post forms (only get works).
Do I have to recompile Apache ?
Where can this come from ?

Options : --enable-track-vars --without-apache --without-debug
--with-mysql --with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd --enable-magic-quotes
apache 1.3.12/mod_fastcgi 2.2.2, mod_perl, php3.15,mod_ssl
