As regards locally saved searchable help for PHP, I have a Windows compiled help version of the manual up for grabs at: http://shanx.com/php/phphelp_install.zip Its a bit more convenient than the browser based HELP I have downloaded from PHP.Net because I can "search" for information that I believe might help me. You need to have HTMLHELP from Microsoft (which you most likely already have), but if you cannot view the file above, then get it from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/tools/htmlhelp/wkshp/download.htm Hope this is helpful! Now, about homesite: | All PHP is color coded! | Un-terminated strings stand out like a sore thumb! | Other sctiprting languages are color coded as well! And whats more, you can modify the colors to your preference. Things you forgot to mention, which I have found incredibly useful: - Snippets. You can have whole snippets of code and just drop them into your code in the future! - Projects. Try this one. Superb! - Browse inside HS, no need to toggle between the browser window and the HS editor. YOu can go to OPTIONS --> SETTINGS --> Server Mappings - Source Version control (a must for a serious corp environment!) However, if you are particularly price-sensitive, then its difficult to beat Ultraedit which comes a very close second.. My 2p, </Shanx> --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
