Dhaval,
I think you've already had this question answered.
When you create a file on a unix system, it has privileges set up
automatically for it, depending on whether the user (you), the user's
group, or the entire system should be allowed to read, write, and/or
execute the file.
There are two ways this happens. The first is through the umask command,
which determines the default privileges for each new file in the current
directory. The second is through chmod, which overrides those defaults.
Any file or any directory that you want to be "on the web" or visible to a
web browser must be readable by EVERYBODY. You are probably working in
directories which have their umasks set so that only allow the user to
read new files. If you delete a directory that had world-readble access
privileges and recreate, it's possible that the new directory is no longer
world-readable.
Try
chmod o=r *
and see what happens. Oh, and you'll have to do this for .htaccess and
your other "dot files" as well. Then read the man pages for chmod and
umask to see what's really going on.
HTH,
Matt
