First of all, this is off-topic since this is a PHP list but I will answer your question anyhow:
Short answer to your question, no you can not open Socket directly in ASP (VBScript) by itself.
Long Answer, you can do it with COM Object either bought or written by yourself in VB or C++. To
do somthing like your example you can d/l ASP Com called ASPTear, it will "ripped" HTML
pages for you.
