Just curious,
Would it be possible to use sockets in ASP ?
For example in PHP one can open a socket and retrieve info, ie
$fp = fsockopen ("www.php.net", 80, &$errno, &$errstr, 30);
if (!$fp) {
echo "$errstr ($errno)<br>\n";
} else {
fputs ($fp, "GET / HTTP/1.0\r\n\r\n");
while (!feof($fp)) {
echo fgets ($fp,128);
}
fclose ($fp);
}
My question is could this be done in ASP, or could you only get
http:// info from other sites ?
