HTML rendering extension?

Has anyone seen such a thing? I'm looking to be able to generate web page previews dynamically and automatically, so I need to render the page on the server. The most efficient way would be if there was a PHP HTML rendering extension - gecko or KHTML perhaps. HTML2PDF doesn't go nearly far enough. Alternatively something like a CLI option to firefox to run without X (i.e. no visible windows) and output to a file instead of a display device.
