I've been trying for 4 days now to get PHP installed with SNMP, and have
looked at every mailing list I could find. I still can't get it going. I
have installed apache from source, from RPM, tried with apxs, modifying the
source RPM, everything, but I still can't get it to work. I either run into
problems with dependencies, or the compiler says that it needs files that
exist.
Here is the script I am using with the apache RPM. I have tried both PHP3 an
4, and both come up that it can't find apxs, but it is there.
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/bin/apxs --enable-safe-mode
--with-exec-dir=/usr/bin --with-system-regex --disable-debug
--enable-debugger --enable-magic-quotes --enable-track-vars --enable-sysvsem
--enable-sysvshm --enable-track-vars --with-xml --with-ftp --with-snmp
If I try to install by using the source, the files are installed into
locations that RPMs wouldn't like later. If anyone knows how to configure
the source for apache so that it puts the files in the locations that redhat
likes, I might be able to work with that too.
Thanks,
Mike
