SNMP doesn't seem to be the problem. Here is what I get.
checking for Apache module support via DSO through APXS...
./configure: /usr/bin/apxs: No such file or directory
configure: error: Sorry, I cannot run apxs. Either you need to install Perl
or you need to pass the absolute path of apxs by using
--with-apxs=/absolute/path/to/apxs
But is I use locate to see if the file exists, here is what I get.
[root@cypher php-4.0.3pl1]# locate apxs
/usr/bin/apxs
So it is telling me that something doesn't exist that clearly does. I even
reinstalled Perl to see if that might be it. I was sure it wasn't since we
use Perl all the time without a problem.
