The SNMP part only goes if you don't specify the location of the SNMP files.
Confused me, but I saw it on phpbuilders list, and after I took that out it
stopped throwing errors on that.
Now the problem I am having is the apxs. I installed the apache from rpm,
and during the make of php, it couldn't find apxs, even though I specified
it's location and verified that it was there. So I upgraded the apache rpm
and got rid of the apxs to have it put in a clean copy. The latest rpm
doesn't install the apxs file.
I tried to use the source for apache, but couldn't figure out how to specify
where the files should go to so that I could install rpms at a later date if
needed.
I even found a soulution to use the SRPM of apache and modify the file that
specifies the configuration, but it had dependencies for DB2-developer,
DB3-developer, apache-developer, and mysql-developer. I installed those,
even though I personally will never use them, and it threw more fits. I
think because I didn't grab the right ones or something.
After all that I went back to the Mac and installed something just to remind
myself that not every OS hates me.
Now I know why you don't use RedHat.
